An expensive flashlight : Bernzomatic #019593 Flex Stem Gas Lighter
I bought this flex-neck lighter from the BBQ section at Home Depot, and also purchased several fuel refills. The lighter, when it worked, produced a strong small "blowtorch" flame and I could light small pieces of wood directly from it. However, after three months of occasional use, the lighter failed. Spark is visible at the tip and there is plenty of fuel visible through the level-like window. But there's no flame no matter how many times I press the trigger. (Note: this is not the only high-end lighter that I've seen fail in this manner, so perhaps the fuel tubes become plugged somehow?)
In addition to the non-lighting problem I cannot discover any way to open the lighter to change fuel cylinders. Now I've got a broken lighter and a half dozen useless fuel pods. Oh, and the flashlight? The little LED at the front of the lighter works fine. So I guess I can still use this otherwise useless lighter as an odd-looking flashlight.
